About the Doctors

All of our doctors are specialist Dentist Anesthesiologists and have completed an accredited dental anesthesiology residency programs. All doctors are, or are in the process of becoming, Board Certified Diplomates with the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.

During their training at level I trauma centers, they received extensive training in various anesthesia techniques including intubated general anesthetics, spinal/epidural/regional anesthetics, non-intubated/open airway anesthetics and many moderate/conscious sedation anesthetics. Patients ranged from ASA I to ASA IV undergoing a multitude of medical and dental procedures. They have also completed rotations in both internal medicine and cardiology. A particular area of focus in the program consisted of delivering specialized and individually tailored anesthetics to pediatric patients and patients with different special needs.

CarePoint is one of the largest and most experienced and respected dental anesthesia groups in the state of Colorado. It is also one of largest groups in the country made up entirely of Dentists Anesthesiologist specialists. CarePoint Anesthesia has built a solid foundation and continues to set high standards within a growing specialty of dentistry.

In Colorado, our doctors have continued to stay involved in the academic realm, as Clinical Associate Instructors at University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and Course Instructors at the Community College of Denver Hygiene Program. They also lecture for the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Society of Dental Anesthesia and for the Advanced Education of General Dentistry programs.

Dr. Jeff Nguyen

Dr. Jeff Nguyen grew up in Sunny Southern California and completed his undergraduate degree in Cellular Biology and Chemistry at the California State University, Fullerton. During his undergraduate studies, he was selected to be a California Institute of Regenerative Medicine Scholar and was funded for research project involving neural stem cells for spinal cord injury. Working closely with spinal cord injury patients sparked his interest in patient care. Upon graduation, Dr. Nguyen attended The University of Michigan, School of Dentistry where he continued his passion for research studying inflammatory biomarkers in Dr. Rogerio Castilho’s Epithelial Biology lab.

After completing his doctorate, Dr. Nguyen decided to pursue dental anesthesiology for its heavy focus on both science and patient care. He completed residency in Dental Anesthesiology at Stony Brook University where provided the full scope of anesthesia care for medical and dental procedures with a wide range of complexities.

Dr. Nguyen now proudly serves West Michigan providing anesthesia care in office-based settings to reduce the hospital burden and increase access to care in the region. In his spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys hiking and other forms of exercise that burn calories to allow him to be a foodie. He is also currently training for a future cave expedition that is planned next year!

Dr. Seth Arnall

Dr. Arnall was raised in the mountains of Northern Arizona, and it’s there that he gained a love for the outdoors, and working with his hands. These loves inspired him to become a biology major, with a minor in jewelry and metalsmithing at East Tennessee State University. This naturally evolved into an interest in dentistry which combined his love of biology and crafting with his hands.

He was accepted to the Case School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated with honors. After graduation he worked as a dentist in the Verde Valley of Arizona. Dr. Arnall was introduced to IV sedation during his time practicing in Arizona, and it became his next professional love. This drove him to take his love of anesthesia further, and he was subsequently accepted to New York University Langone-Brooklyn for a three year anesthesia residency. While there he learned the skills to safely provide all types of anesthesia in both office based and hospital settings. There he enjoyed treating thousands of patients, many of which were children and those with complex special needs.

After graduation he cofounded the Michigan branch of CarePoint Anesthesia with Dr. Jackstien and Dr. Smith. He loves serving the good people of Michigan and providing an increased access to care in our communities is one of his top priorities. In his free time he loves spending quality time with his wife Nicole and their seven kids.

Dr. Chad Nosek

Dr. Nosek grew up in New England and obtained his undergraduate degree from Fitchburg State University in his home state of Massachusetts. Upon graduation he moved west where he completed his doctoral degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. Upon graduation, he remained in California in general practice until his desire to help patients unable to receive dental care due to anxiety and medical complexity led him to New York City to pursue a specialty in dental anesthesia at NYU Langone Hospital. During his time there, Dr. Nosek provided anesthesia in a hospital setting for a variety of surgical procedures and specialties. As a result of growing up in New England, Dr. Nosek is an avid Boston sports fan and besides practicing anesthesia, Dr. Nosek enjoys spending his time traveling, camping, fishing, and working on cars. Dr. Nosek strives to provide excellent care in an honest, straightforward, and caring environment. His goal is to be gentle, thorough, and empathetic with everyone who comes in to the office. Dr. Nosek’s feels privileged to facilitate access to dental care for those that need it most.
